TOPIC – I will Visit You

This is your year of visitation

God visited Sarah
Genesis 21:1 - And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

God Visited Israelites in Babylon
Jeremiah 29:10 - For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

God will visit you where you are and in your current situation.

How will God visit you?
God will you via His Word
Psalms 107:19 – 20
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

The word of God is Sweet and will make your situation sweet.
Jeremiah 15:16 - Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:

Exodus 15:23 – 25

Examples of People God Visited in their Bitter Situations

1.     Sarah
Genesis 21:1 - And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

6 - And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

2.     Hannah
I Samuel 1:11, 19 - 20
11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

19 - And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
20 - Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

3.     Mary the Mother of Jesus
Luke 1:28, 30
28 - And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
30 - And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

How to Prepare for God’s visitation:

1.     Sanctify yourself with His Word
John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2.     Have expectations - You expectations determines your experience
Proverbs 23:18 - For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

3.     Be ready to Give God all the glory
Abraham was giving glory
to God even before Isaac came
Romans 4:20 - He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
