Prophetic Focus: “I AM RIDING THE WAVES OF GLORY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.  Joel 2:21-27

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING THE MISSION/WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT/GHOST

Start by asking the child –Who is the Holy Spirit/Ghost? And where does he live? (John 14:17)

For better understanding, you can let the children sing..God is three in one x3the father  makes all things, the son sets us free, the Holy Spirit brings help to me.

TEXT: Joel 2:21 Fear not O land(children/winners) be glad(happy) and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things
BIBLICAL CHARACTER:JESUS AS HE WAS LEAVING HIS DISCIPLES: When Jesus was going to Heaven after finishing His work on earth, He did not leave the Disciples alone(lonely)but He promised them the Holy Spirit. John 14:16 ..And I will ask the father and He will give you another comforter(Helper) to be with you forever …

MEMORY VERSE:

John 14:25 But the Counsellor:the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Objective: Teach and Help the children understand the mission/work of the Holy Ghost/Spirit.

WHAT IS THE WORK/MISSION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT/GHOST?

1.       Reaching out to the lost(WITNESSING)(John 16:8-11)

Ask the children for examples of people /children who are lost. Possible answers will be (they drink, smoke,   beat others in school, steal others books /pens, abuse e.t.c

Rewards of witnessing (telling others bout Jesus): God answers our Prayers John 15:16

2.       He is the teacher(John 16:13) ask the children what is the work of a teacher in School and relate it to what the Holy Spirit does according to John 16:13

BIBLICAL TRUETH: Holy Spirit will make me ride on the waves of Glory

CHALLENGE FACTOR: Who is your teacher, helper, comforter when in need?

POSITIVE CONFESSION: Holy Spirit of God will teach me all things now and forever more. AMEN
