Welcome All the Children by greeting each one of
them. Ask them how the week was; how school is/how home is. What they enjoyed most in school and what
they did not like.
Do a recap of last
Sunday’s lesson. Ask the children e.g. (What was the prophetic Focus for the
month of July? Memory Verses? Biblical Character? Ask about the 3 temptations
of Jesus: Different songs sang (sing –seek yee first the Kingdom of God and His
righteousness…..
Text Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom
BIBLICAL CHARACTER(Dan1:1-20): DANIEL,SHADRACK,MESHACH,&ABEDNEGO;(OTHER
NAMES-DANIEL-BELTESHAZZAR: SHADRACK
-HANANIAH:MESHACH-MISHAEL:ABEDNEGO-AZARIAH).King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon
ordered to be brought young men without physical
blemish(mark:spot:stain),handsome,wise,well informed, quick to understand and
qualified to serve in the king’s palace.
They were to be trained for three years the language and literature (stories,writings,history)of
the Babylonians. The king assigned them daily royal food(ask the children to
say some of the food like eating)and wine from the King’s table. After the
three years of training, they would enter King’s service.
Through the fear of the
Lord and the Wisdom of God upon Daniel.Shadrack,Meshack and Abednego, they
chose not to eat the royal food and wine from the King so that they could not
defile (pollute,corrupt,spoil)themselves.(explain to the children that alcohol
is not good and share disadvantages. Ask the children other drugs that they
know which are bad).instead of that food and wine, they requested to be given
vegetables and water only. After 10 days the 4 of them looked healthier and
better nourished(fed)than all the
other men.

and understanding about which the king questioned them, He found them ten times
better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom
Objective: Teach and Help the children understand how to get Divine Wisdom
HOW TO GET DIVINE WISDOM
1) To be wise/clever/intelligent we must have the fear
of the Lord in everything we do. Psalm 111:10
2) We must have a heart for God like Daniel, shadrack,
Meshack and Abednego (to say NO to all bad things)
BIBLICAL TRUETH: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom
