           TEACHING FOCUS:    UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

Introduction: 1Tim 4:7-8

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1Tim 3:16

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way..…..”2 Thess 2:7-10

From above, greater is the mystery of godliness than the mystery of iniquity. The mystery of iniquity is a battle against our glorious destiny. It is a war from within. The war is either won from within or lost forever.

See the following:

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mk 7:21-23  

“Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve”.- Lk 22:3

But it is written; “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matt 5:8

And also; “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” Heb 12:14

Only the pure in heart can see God and it takes purity of the heart to experience the true holiness.

As Jesus said; “…..Cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. – Matt 23:26

We shall be examining what these forces are and what counter spiritual forces to engage  to live a godly life in our Sunday services this month under the caption  Unveiling The Mystery of Godliness.

PART 1: UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS

§  Fresh Unction

To keep the oil fresh, we must stay clean – Ecc 9:8/ Lk 5:37-39
